ZOOM™ tooth whitening is the same tooth whitening system used on NBC's hit TV series "Extreme Makeover" and has revolutionised tooth whitening worldwide.
The ZOOM™ tooth whitening system was developed by Dr Bill Dorfman, founder of Discus Dental in the USA. The most striking results can now be achieved in only about 1 hour thanks to state-of-the-art materials and unique treatment protocols using in-office ZOOM™ tooth whitening.
The Treatment
The ZOOM™ treatment involves a light-activated gel which is gently applied to the teeth and then activated by the ZOOM™ light. The whitening gel penetrates the surface of the tooth to remove deep stains and discolouration. The products and techniques used have been thoroughly evaluated and under appropriate conditions have not been shown to be detrimental to the health of the teeth. With proper care and periodic touch-up treatment at home, you should continue to enjoy your bright new smile for years.
The Procedure
At your first visit you will be given a gum and dental health check. Suitability for Zoom tooth whitening will be determined based on the findings of this dental health status check. If other dental problems are identified, advice regarding treatment will be provided. Dental moulds of your teeth will be taken at this appointment to allow for the fabrication of trays for take-home pre-treatment with GC mousse.
This tooth conditioning helps to reduce the risk of tooth sensitivity which is occasionally experienced following tooth whitening procedures. Your second visit will be approximately 10 days later and will be the ZOOM™ whitening appointment. This appointment will be approximately 1 hour. It is that simple. See the results for yourself.
