Dr Rebecca Ellis BDS, DCD (Perio)

Specialist Periodontist

Dr Ellis graduated BDS (Distinction) from University of Otago in 2011 and then worked as a dental house surgeon in the Hawkes’ Bay and then Auckland before going into private dental practice in Auckland. In 2015 Dr Ellis moved to Melbourne to complete a three year doctoral degree in Periodontology. Dr Ellis was awarded the prestigious ITI research grant for preclinical research in implant dentistry. Her research interests include preclinical research in immediate implant placement and also guided bone regeneration around dental implants. Dr Ellis is currently involved in international research collaboration in the field of bone regeneration in conjunction with dental implant therapy. She is a ITI Fellow and has helped run the post-graduate ITI study club in Melbourne for 3 years and is presently Co-director of Auckland Central ITI Study club. Dr Ellis provides both Straumann and Nobel Biocare implants and the full range of hard and soft tissue grafting, regenerative therapies, mucogingival surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, as well as surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy.
